Job Description:

The role of an MES Support Specialist bridges the gap between Information Technology and manufacturing, requiring a deep understanding of both software systems and production processes to maintain efficiency, quality, and compliance in the manufacturing environment.

The MES Support Specialist will troubleshoot and resolve issues with MES software and hardware for uninterrupted production operations. This includes monitoring system performance, implementing updates, and making adjustments to optimize MES for efficiency and quality.

The successful candidate will assist in implementing and configuring new MES systems, integrating them with other enterprise systems like ERP. They will analyze real-time data from the shop floor to identify bottlenecks, track production, and improve decision-making.

Additionally, the MES Support Specialist will provide technical assistance to production staff and develop training materials to help them use MES effectively. They will create and maintain technical documentation, including protocols, reports, and user guides, for MES.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with MES software, understanding of databases, and familiarity with system integration.
  • Solid understanding of the manufacturing lifecycle, from order release to finished goods, and common production challenges.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and use data to drive improvements in production.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with production teams and provide training.
