Senior Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance Specialist to implement and configure data security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure data discovery and classification processes comply with relevant regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, SOX, and SEBI.
  • Data Security and Configuration: Configure policies, classifiers, data flows, and discovery and classification operations modules to ensure seamless data management.
  • Integration and Automation: Integrate data security tools with Microsoft Information Protection, DLP solutions, or SIEM platforms, leveraging scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell) to streamline processes.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with BigID or similar data discovery/classification tools.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data privacy, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience working with structured data in RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL) and unstructured data sources (file servers, SharePoint, cloud repositories).
  • Proficiency in configuring BigID policies, classifiers, data flows, and discovery and classification operations modules.
  • Familiarity with metadata management, data catalogs, and data lineage concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BigID Certified Implementation Specialist or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) certifications.
  • Data privacy or governance certifications (e.g., CIPP, CDMP, CIPM) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning for data security analytics.
