Job Title

As a Workplace Designer, you will be responsible for transforming interior spaces into aesthetically pleasing and functional environments.

You will build and lead a team to design and deliver workspaces that meet client expectations. Your creativity, commercial acumen, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to balance form and function are crucial in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement:
  • Conduct thorough research to understand the client's business needs.
  • Analyze client workspace requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
  • Manage client expectations and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Conceptual Design:
  • Formulate innovative conceptual design proposals integrating comprehensive space planning, thoughtfully curated color schemes, and refined furniture selections.
  • Craft compelling presentations to proficiently communicate design concepts.
  • Space Planning and Layout:
  • Devise efficient space plans accounting for workflow optimization and ergonomic principles.
  • Leverage space utilization strategies to enhance productivity and foster a cohesive work culture.
  • Material Selection and Specification:
  • Curate materials and finishes that align with the envisioned aesthetic while meeting functional criteria.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and sustainability standards by integrating eco-conscious choices.
  • Budget Management:
  • Create project budgets and timelines, working within budget constraints to deliver cost-effective design solutions.
  • Source and procure materials within established budgets.
  • Project Documentation:
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation for construction purposes.
  • Maintain accurate project records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Quality Control:
  • Conduct site visits to gather essential information about existing spaces.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Experience in leading client pitches.
  • Minimum of 7-12 years of experience in workplace design projects and managing a team.
  • Proficiency in design software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
