Job Title: Senior Painting Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Painting Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our paint shop. The successful candidate will have a strong background in painting processes, quality control, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of paint materials and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with the production team to meet daily shipment plans and customer witness inspection requirements.
  • Conduct regular environmental condition checks, blotter tests, MEK tests, WFT&DFT tests, adhesion tests, and inspect incoming primer-coated materials from suppliers.
  • Monitor paint material and phosphating chemicals stock levels and organize requisitions for the purchase team.
  • Ensure high standards of 5S, Safety, and OHSAS requirements in the phosphating and painting shops.
  • Handle audits conducted by FM Global, ISO-Quality system, OHSAS-Safety system, Global Safety & Customer audits in Painting, Phosphating, Grit Blasting & ETP areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in monitoring and controlling process parameters, troubleshooting surface preparation, and protective coatings.
  • Sufficient knowledge in computer software and applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Sound knowledge of consumable consumption control, surface preparation, paint products, and applications.
  • Well-versed in production planning and capacity planning on painting processes based on production demands to meet expected targets.
  • Effective communication and coordination with inter-departmental teams and operating staff to ensure smooth functioning of the Paint Shop.
  • Knowledge of 5S, TPM, KAIZEN, and Safety practices.
  • Strong supervisory skills to handle operating workforce effectively.
