Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine sampling and testing of raw materials (cement, aggregates, sand, water) and finished concrete as per IS codes.
- Monitor batching plant operations to ensure consistency in mix design and quality output.
- Maintain accurate QC logs and prepare daily reports on material and concrete quality.
- Coordinate with site engineers and clients to address any quality-related issues promptly.
- Ensure calibration of laboratory and field testing equipment is up to date.
- Follow and enforce company safety and quality standards at all times.
Senior QC Supervisor (Additional Responsibilities):
- Lead and manage the QC team and lab technicians at the plant and site.
- Develop and implement mix designs as per project requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party testing agencies for approvals and audits.
- Provide training to junior staff and ensure compliance with quality protocols.
- Investigate root causes for quality complaints and implement corrective actions.
Junior QC Supervisor (Supportive Role):
- Assist in raw material testing and mix preparation under supervision.
- Support in documentation and reporting as per instructions.
- Coordinate with the batching plant and QC head for daily operations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
Experience:
Junior: 12 years in RMC / construction material testing
Senior: 3+ years in RMC quality control / mix design / lab management
Knowledge: IS codes, concrete mix design, RMC testing protocols, lab instruments.
- Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Salary:
- Based on experience and skillset; competitive and industry standard.
Working Days/Hours:
- 6 days a week; timings as per plant operations
