Job Title: Advanced Database Expert

We are seeking a skilled Sr. Sql Database Administrator to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, manage, monitor and troubleshoot SQL Server 2005 – SQL Server 2022.
  • Implement Service Packs, Cumulative Updates and Hotfixes (GDR, QFE).
  • Patch hierarchy and clarity on SQL Build numbers and Internal Database build numbers.
  • Migrate and upgrade SQL Server from older versions to newer ones.
  • Configure Linked Servers between same and different SQL Server versions.
  • Design and implement contained databases for effective migrations.
  • Configure recovery models and design backup strategies.
  • Optimize backups using Backup Encryption, Compression and special parameters.
  • Resolve Master, Model, MSDB, TEMPDB and Resource database corruptions.
  • Configure High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) solutions like Log Shipping, Mirroring, Clustering, Always-On Availability Group & Replication.
  • Manage Windows Cluster, Quorum, Dynamic Quorum, Voting Mechanism and Failovers.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server Architecture, T-SQL, Triggers and Procedures.
  • Administration and configuration of HA/ DR solutions – Clustering, Always-ON Group etc.
  • Replication management and troubleshooting.
  • Patch management.
  • Always On AG scenarios – Failover.
  • Server capacity monitoring, analysis and tuning activities.
  • Automation using scripts and tools in the area of Backup, Monitoring, Resource Utilization, HA alerts, capacity plan management.
  • SQL Server Tuning.
