Job Description

Seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead cloud-based software delivery for a higher education client. This role requires in-depth expertise with multiple technologies, including Ruby on Rails, Python/Django, AWS, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

The successful candidate will oversee distributed engineering squads, ensure seamless global collaboration, and provide technical leadership to guide teams through implementation, debugging, and architectural decisions.

  • Engineering Leadership:
    • Manage multiple India-based squads (contract and full-time).
    • Coach teams on best practices, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Shore Collaboration:
    • Align priorities and facilitate smooth handoffs with U.S. engineering and product leaders.
  • Technical Planning & Execution:
    • Translate business requirements into scalable solutions with architects and senior engineers.
    • Participate in architecture/design reviews and assist with code reviews and troubleshooting.
    • Hands-on expertise required in:
      • Python/Django
      • PostgreSQL & MySQL
      • AWS Cloud Infrastructure
