Cloud Platform Specialist

We are seeking experienced engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable systems for efficiency, stability, and velocity in the e-commerce space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud-native platforms that meet business needs.
  • Influence platform architecture, collaborating with development teams to drive innovation.
  • Optimize repeatable systems for software and platform engineers to leverage each other.
  • Guide technical conversations on code and architecture.
  • Help service owners set realistic Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Provide production support and solve challenging engineering problems across our stack.
  • Participate in a shared on-call schedule and automate tasks to increase efficiency.
  • Mentor new hires and engineers through tech talks, paired programming, and other avenues.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE, software development, or related fields with an understanding of Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud platforms GCP, AWS, Azure, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and server-side software engineering (Python, Go, Java, BASH).
  • Design experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting, performance monitoring, tracing instrumentation, and SLI/SLO/SLAs.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Terraform).
