Cloud Architect Position

This is a position for a seasoned Cloud Practitioner who manages Service Delivery and Practice Building. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic advisory services, conducting market research, and developing data-driven recommendations to enhance business performance.

  • The role requires an individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The candidate must have experience architecting/operating solutions built on Microsoft Azure/AWS, working within software development, and possessing knowledge of software development tools or DevOps methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Shape business requirements and develop an offering that brings value to the requirement.
  2. Define the solution, resource plan, and implementation approach for cloud architecture solutions.
  3. Execute internal processes related to ITIL Life cycle Practices.
  4. Drive delivery of cloud implementation projects from business case to deployment.
  5. Apply non-functional requirements and technical knowledge in the cloud domain to drive design of a robust solution.
  6. Manage senior client stakeholders and serve as the primary conduit between teams and clients during discovery.
  7. Build the capability of the cloud practice and enable them to effectively manage and deliver.
  8. Provide strategy on key capability areas to focus on against market trends and development.

Professional and Technical Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on Microsoft Azure/AWS.
  • Experience working within software development.
  • Working knowledge of software development tools or DevOps methodologies.
  • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
  • High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.

Domain Knowledge and Certifications:

  • Domain knowledge on Microsoft Azure/AWS cloud platforms.
  • Must have worked cloud cost control or FINOPS framework.
  • Must have knowledge of platform implementation methodology.
  • Proven work experience as a cloud architect or similar role.
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
  • Effective communication skills to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a cloud architect.

Certifications (Good to Have):

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
  • Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
  • Google Certified Professional (GCP) Cloud Architect.
