Job Description

As a performance engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of high-traffic software applications.

You will be responsible for defining and developing performance and scalability benchmarks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve system performance issues, and utilizing profiling tools to pinpoint bottlenecks.

Additionally, you will devise and execute experiments to evaluate the performance impact of system changes, plan and execute performance tests using automated environments, and analyze results.

  • Develop and apply performance/scalability benchmarks
  • Work with cross-functional teams to characterize, debug and improve system performance and scalability
  • Use profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks and conduct root cause analysis
  • Devise and run experiments to evaluate the performance impacts of system changes
  • Plan and execute performance tests using automated environments, analyze results

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Strong experience in performance testing of complex software systems
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Perl, Java)
  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, SoapUI, Postman)
  • Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, RESTful APIs and performance-tuning SQL queries
  • Extensive hands-on experience with JVM tuning techniques
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • Certifications like AWS Solutions Architect or GCP Associate Cloud Engineer are a plus
Additional Requirements

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
  • Expertise in SAP BTP platform optimization and its components
