Senior Test Engineer & Design For Test (DFT) Specialist

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer and Design For Test (DFT) specialist to lead the development of advanced test strategies and DFT solutions for complex ASIC and SoC designs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive DFT strategy and architecture for multiple projects from concept through silicon bring-up.
  • Lead implementation and verification of DFT features including scan insertion, compression, ATPG pattern generation, fault grading, MBIST, and boundary scan.
  • Collaborate with RTL, STA, PD, and test engineering teams for seamless integration and optimized DFT flows.
  • Perform pattern generation, fault simulation, and debug test coverage gaps in collaboration with test engineers.
  • Own sign-off for DFT implementation, timing closure (DFT-related paths), and ATE pattern delivery.
  • Develop and maintain DFT automation scripts and infrastructure, ensuring efficient flow execution and minimizing manual intervention.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or VLSI Design.
  • At least 7 years of experience in DFT for complex ASIC or SoC designs.
  • Expertise in DFT tools such as Synopsys DFT Compiler, TetraMAX, TestMAX, Siemens EDA Tessent ScanPro, MBIST, IJTAG, Cadence/others Modus, Encounter Test.
  • Strong knowledge of RTL design, STA, and synthesis flows.
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Perl, Tcl for flow automation.
  • Deep understanding of silicon test challenges and methods for improving test coverage.
  • Excellent leadership, team collaboration, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hierarchical DFT and low-power DFT methodologies.
  • Exposure to post-silicon validation and failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical designs and functional safety.
  • Experience working in advanced nodes, e.g., FinFET.
