Senior Data Engineer (SAP Datasphere)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data models and pipelines in SAP Datasphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data models and pipelines in SAP Datasphere
  • Integrate SAP and non-SAP sources using data provisioning and federation tools
  • Develop views and data layers using SAP BW/4HANA and SAP HANA Cloud
  • Understand stakeholder data needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Implement data governance, security, and privacy using SAP Datasphere capabilities
  • Develop dashboards and reports in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) per business requirements
  • Integrate SAP Datasphere with SAC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and external databases
  • Conduct end-user training and provide post-implementation support
  • Collaborate across IT, business analysts, and data architects

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in SAP Datasphere: data modeling, spaces, and data flows
  • Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud: story building, planning, live data connections
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA and S/4HANA data sources
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture and data integration
  • Robust SQL skills and data transformation logic capabilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Technical ABAP experience including AMDP, CDS view creation, ODP, BAdIs
  • Expertise in HANA-specific features like Calculation Views and fine-tuning function module extractors during migrations
  • Knowledge of ADSOs (Advanced DataStore Objects), Composite Providers, and ODS Views
