Job Overview
The Sales Channel Growth Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth in the modern trade channel. This includes building relationships with key accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring the brand's strategic presence in leading retail chains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Development: Develop and manage relationships with key modern trade customers, including leading retail chains and supermarkets.
- Sales Performance: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by executing brand strategies in the modern trade channel.
- Category Excellence: Work closely with the category and merchandising teams to ensure optimal product visibility and placement across stores.
- Business Expansion: Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and potential new modern trade customers.
- Promotions & Activations: Plan and execute in-store promotions, activations, and sampling activities to drive sales and brand visibility.
- Negotiation: Negotiate annual agreements, including margins, product listings, and trade spends with modern trade partners.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure consistent product availability and minimize stockouts or overstocking.
- Data Analysis: Analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and generate actionable insights to improve sales performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, logistics, and finance teams to align on strategies and ensure smooth execution of operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in modern trade sales, with a proven track record of managing key accounts.
- Strong knowledge of the FMCG industry, particularly in the food and organic sectors.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
