Technical Purchaser Role
This is a technical purchaser position that requires expertise in procurement, logistics coordination, and supplier management. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing technical spare parts and services for our fleet of vessels.
Main Responsibilities:
- Liaise with supervisors to ensure timely supply of technical spare parts or ship repair services.
- Purchasing activities and logistics coordination for spares delivery.
- Send enquiries to global suppliers for quotations on various services, including navigation equipment maintenance, FFA & LSA, underwater inspections, hull cleaning, and technical spare part purchases.
- Communicate with vessels for requisition-related information.
- Follow up on supplier quotations.
- Prepare purchase orders, delivery orders, proforma invoices, and packing lists.
- Assist in logistics arrangements, including air freight, sea freight, land transport, and sea transport.
- Collaborate with agents and ships to supply spare parts and repair services at convenient ports.
- Process invoices by verifying vendor invoices against quotations and ensuring timely processing within credit terms.
- Document filing and printing of invoices.
- Ongoing duties assigned by Manager/Supervisors.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical purchasing.
- Strong experience in spares stores services all technical purchasing.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills required.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. They should also have strong problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
