Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a vital role in our organization by managing and collecting payments from customers. This position involves generating and sending invoices, monitoring accounts for timely collection of outstanding balances, and reconciling discrepancies.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate and send accurate and compliant invoices to customers in accordance with U.S. GAAP standards.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Reconcile discrepancies, resolve billing issues, and communicate effectively with customers regarding payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all A/R transactions, providing visibility into cash flow and financial performance.
  • Analytical skills, including the ability to gather and organize information, are essential for this role.
  • Proficient in invoicing and accounting software is required to efficiently manage accounts receivable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective customer communication.
  • Review and verify invoices and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring adherence to payment terms and schedules.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, are crucial for success in this position.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills enable efficient management of multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in financial analysis as required, providing insights into business performance.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounting processes and efficiency, driving business growth and profitability.
