Purchasing Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. This is a key role that involves managing purchasing operations, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to minimize costs and maximize value
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices and delivery terms
  • Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to inform procurement decisions
  • Manage the purchase-to-pay process, ensuring timely payment and compliance with company policies
  • Monitor and report on procurement metrics, including spend analysis and supplier performance

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings and improving supply chain efficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
