Job Overview

Our team is looking for a seasoned expert to manage and improve our Terraform scripts across various platforms. As a key member of our infrastructure operations team, you will be responsible for automating environment setup, deployments, and key rotation practices using phData Provision Tool and related tooling.

  • Maintain and enhance Terraform scripts for DBT Cloud and GitHub platforms.
  • Automate environment setup, deployments, and key rotation practices using phData Provision Tool and related infrastructure tooling.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless operations by handling AWS IAM, RSA key management, and 1Password Vault usage.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering, with a strong background in chaos engineering or resilience testing. You should be familiar with multi-cloud or hybrid environments, possess excellent communication skills, and have exposure to data-intensive systems and distributed technologies.

  1. Understand customer requirements, solutions, and project KPIs.
  2. Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
  3. Set up tools and required infrastructure.
  4. Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
  5. Review, verify, and validate software code developed in the project.
  6. Troubleshoot techniques and coordinate bug fixes with developers.
  7. Monitor processes during the entire lifecycle for adherence and update or create new processes for improvement in a lean manner.
  8. Plan and build automated processes where possible.
  9. Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures through continuous vulnerability assessment and risk management.
  10. Select and deploy CI/CD tools and pipelines.
  11. Benchmark customer experience and KPIs.

Required Competencies and Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience with chaos engineering or resilience testing.
  • Multi-cloud or hybrid environments expertise.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Exposure to data-intensive systems and distributed technologies.
  • Familiarity with AWS and containerization & orchestration.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) knowledge.
  • Typical SRE responsibilities.
  • Linux background and thorough knowledge of DevOps practices.
  • CI/CD tools, configuration automation, cloud native tools, and application monitoring experience.
  • Development language knowledge and scripting skills.
  • Team player and effective communicator.
