Job Title: Wintel Operations Expert

We are seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Specialist to lead the management of day-to-day operations in our Wintel environment, encompassing servers, virtualization platforms, and associated technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solution design and technical governance for optimal infrastructure performance.
  • Manage patch compliance, performance optimization, and infrastructure hardening across global Wintel operations.
  • Develop and implement lifecycle planning and audit readiness strategies.
Areas Of Responsibility:Operational Excellence
  • Oversee global Wintel operations, including Windows & Linux, Virtualization, File Servers, and related ecosystems.
  • Lead 24x7 business-as-usual activities, incident response, and escalations with hands-on technical expertise.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for operational tasks and GSOPs.
  • Design, manage, and perform DR for applications aligned with Backup, Storage, and Application teams.
Project Management & Technical Delivery
  • Lead the technical execution of infrastructure projects, including OS upgrades, migrations, and platform transitions.
  • Architect and implement infrastructure solutions for new business requirements.
  • Drive initiatives for virtualization, automation, capacity planning, and legacy system upgrades.
  • Ensure proper documentation and technical sign-off for infrastructure change implementations.
  • Provide technical governance for infrastructure changes, ensuring impact analysis, rollback plans, and CAB approvals.
Governance, Compliance & Audit
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, GxP, and InfoSec policies.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of EOL/EOS platforms and define decommission strategies.
  • Track and resolve audit findings, document evidence, and support RCA processes.
People & Stakeholder Management
  • Mentor and develop Wintel L2/L3 team members, assessing skill readiness in line with service provider standards.
  • Collaborate with application, security, and compliance teams for cross-functional initiatives.
Vendor & Partner Management
  • Govern SLAs, KPIs, and deliverables of infrastructure service partners.
  • Lead operational governance meetings with service providers, tracking performance metrics.
Financials, Inventory & Risk
  • Manage asset lifecycle and Wintel server license compliance across environments.
  • Maintain an up-to-date CMDB, ensuring accuracy for DR/BCP planning.
Innovation & Strategic Planning
  • Identify infrastructure gaps and propose innovative solutions, including automation.
  • Drive modernization of Windows platforms and transition cloud environments supported.
