We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead our tax team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns for financial services clients, including hedge funds, private equity, and blocker corporations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct detailed review of financial services client returns, majorly on hedge funds, private equity, and fund of funds, blocker corporation returns and S-Corporation returns prepared by staff/senior/Supervisor.
  • Review state returns for financial services clients.
  • Identify international filing requirements by studying organizational charts and reviewing international tax returns.
  • Train existing/new joiners on concepts, technology, and share timely feedback for each project reviewed.
  • Supervise kick-off calls to understand clients, regular connects with US counterparts by teams, and intervene in budget conflicts, resource scheduling conflicts, etc.
  • Guide staff/seniors on potential tax adjustments due to tax law changes and e-filing validations.
  • Recruitment, training, performance evaluation, mentoring team members.
  • Constant connects with US counterparts to ensure adherence to timelines and high-quality work through consistent learning.
  • Enable teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Facilitate trainings and develop training materials for technical topics.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
  • 8+ years of experience in detail review of tax returns.
  • Knowledge of CCh Axcess Tax, Gofile room, CaseWare.
  • Relevant experience in financial services returns.
