Job Title: Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Developer to lead our Data & Analytics team in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining robust and scalable SQL Server-based solutions.

  • This role requires strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory (ADF) along with proficiency in performance tuning and data warehousing best practices.

The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a passion for database design and data. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing efficient database structures, stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and scripts using T-SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for high-performance transactional and analytical workloads.
  • Performing data modeling, database normalization, indexing strategies, and table partitioning to support scalable solutions.
  • Developing ETL solutions using SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF) to integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Contributing to the design and maintenance of data warehouses, data marts, and operational data stores.
  • Implementing data quality, data integrity, and data governance standards.
  • Performing data profiling, transformation, cleansing, and validation tasks to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Conducting performance tuning and query optimization using execution plans, indexing strategies, and system monitoring tools.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving issues related to database performance, deadlocks, blocking, and data latency.
  • Working closely with BI developers, application developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation for database architecture, data dictionaries, and ETL workflows.
  • Contributing to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior team members.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in SQL Server development.
  • T-SQL / PL SQL scripting and stored procedures.
  • ETL development using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF) for cloud-based data integration.
  • Data warehousing architecture and methodologies.
  • Strong skills in query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Good understanding of database security, backups, recovery models, and high availability strategies.
