We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL Server administration, expertise in AWS services, and proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.

The successful candidate will design, deploy, and manage SQL Server databases on premises and in AWS RDS, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement hybrid cloud database solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing high-performing SQL Server databases
  • Collaborating with data engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to define database requirements and solutions
  • Maintaining the health, performance, and security of a hybrid cloud database environment
  • Supporting production environments with strong troubleshooting skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Proven working experience as a SQL Server / SQL Server Database Administrator, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server and SQL Server RAC
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience with database security principles and best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance
