Financial Reporting Specialist

The role involves preparing financial statements, managing the general ledger, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

The Financial Reporting Specialist will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing tax returns, and providing support for audits. The individual in this role will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the general ledger, including accounts payable and receivable, and perform account reconciliations
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Prepare tax returns and provide support for audits

Qualifications:

  • Financial reporting, general ledger management, and account reconciliation skills
  • Experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, tax return preparation, and audit support
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus
  • Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceuticals industry is an advantage
