We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced analytics, reporting, and digital transformation initiatives in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS cloud services, data engineering, and knowledge of Oil & Gas upstream, midstream, or downstream processes.
The key responsibilities of this role include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions using AWS cloud services. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for ingesting, processing, and storing structured/unstructured data from multiple sources such as IoT devices, sensors, ERP systems, drilling logs, production data, etc.
This position also involves implementing data lake and data warehouse solutions, optimizing data pipelines for performance, cost, and scalability, and collaborating with domain experts, data scientists, and business analysts to translate Oil & Gas business requirements into data solutions. Furthermore, the candidate will ensure data governance, data quality, and security compliance, and support real-time data streaming and analytics using AWS services (Kinesis, Kafka, Lambda).
To excel in this role, the candidate should have proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lake Formation. Expertise in ETL/ELT development using PySpark, Python, or SQL is also essential. Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and performance tuning, knowledge of data lake and modern data architecture, and strong SQL skills are highly desirable. Additionally, hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data solutions and familiarity with Oil & Gas industry datasets and use cases are required.
