Area General Manager Role
A key leadership position driving franchise partner acquisition and onboarding in various markets.
This role entails identifying high-potential cities for expansion, scouting prospects, converting them into franchise partners, and ensuring smooth onboarding until store launch. The Area General Manager must have a strong understanding of market dynamics, competition, and real estate feasibility to drive informed business decisions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Market Identification & Strategy: Collaborate with Regional Managers to identify cities with growth potential and conduct on-ground research to map demand clusters, competition, and real estate feasibility.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and qualify high-quality franchise prospects across categories. Build a strong pipeline of partners aligned with the company's criteria (financials, business background, industry connections).
- Partner Engagement & Conversion: Drive end-to-end meetings and presentations with prospective partners. Pitch franchise models with clear ROI and business potential. Negotiate agreements and close franchise conversions.
- Onboarding & Store Launch Support: Guide partners through franchise agreement, financial formalities, and store setup requirements. Coordinate with central teams for design, branding, training, and installation readiness. Ensure stores go live within defined timelines.
- Performance & Reporting: Achieve monthly/quarterly franchise acquisition targets. Maintain accurate reports on lead funnel, partner status, and conversion ratios.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
- New Franchise Partners Onboarded: Measure the number of new franchise partners successfully onboarded.
- Timely Conversion of Prospects: Track the timely conversion of prospects into signed franchisees.
- Store Launch Success: Monitor the successful completion of partner onboarding and store launch process.
- Partner Quality & Sustainability: Assess the quality and sustainability of partners onboarded, ensuring alignment with company standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Business or Marketing is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Business Development Experience: 6-8 years of experience in business development, franchise acquisition, or channel sales.
- Proven Sales Record: A proven track record of achieving aggressive sales targets.
- Industry Expertise: Exposure to building materials, interiors, furniture, laminates, tiles, or related industries is strongly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential.
- Travel Requirements: High willingness to travel extensively across assigned markets is necessary.
