Senior FMCG Category Manager Role

As a seasoned Category Manager - FMCG, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of the Category FMCG team within a designated region. This includes managing a portfolio of 20-30 stores, leading a team of 8-10 members, and coordinating with various teams to maximize sales and promotions.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and motivate a team of Category Managers to achieve sales targets and implement effective category strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive business growth and ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes that enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct market research, analyze trends, and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making and optimize category performance.
- Travel extensively across the assigned region and PAN India as required, with regular reporting to the Category Head at the Head Office.
- A Graduate/Post Graduate/MBA degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in FMCG Sales.
- Proven track record of success in managing large teams and driving sales growth in the FMCG industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of local language/location of posting is required, with willingness to travel.
