
Strategic Customer Engagement Specialist

This role is focused on maintaining and expanding key client relationships in the Plasters Boards business in Bengaluru. It supports the organization's mission by fostering long-term connections, increasing customer interaction, expanding the customer base in new markets, and driving sustainable market share growth through project sales.
About the Role- Retain and grow market share in the Plasters Boards business in Bengaluru.
- Ensure continuous customer engagement through promotional activities and loyalty programs.
- Expand customer base by identifying and onboarding new key accounts in emerging territories.
- Achieve sales targets through effective project pipeline management and forecasting.
- Sales Target: Drive project sales for the assigned territory. Forecast sales, build project pipelines, and achieve sales goals.
- Business Development: Identify new conversion opportunities and convert them into revenue-generating business.
- Key Account Management: Manage select customer initiatives and technical engagements. Ensure timely order extraction, delivery, and end-to-end execution. Generate and drive specifications with Developers, Architects, PMCs, Clients, and Turnkey contractors across assigned and other territories.
- Market Development Activities: Identify and drive business development initiatives focused on new products, applications, and key account segments.
- Market Intelligence: Continuously gather insights on competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to inform strategic actions for market share improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Postgraduate qualification: MBA will be an advantage.
- 4-8 years of experience in sales and marketing of building material industry or related segments.
- Handling key accounts, especially involving architects and project influencers.
- Required Skills:
- Strong customer orientation with a proactive mindset to unlock value in key accounts.
- Ability to manage technical sales and project-based selling in a competitive market.
- Strong interpersonal skills for influencing architects, PMCs, and developers.
- Self-driven with analytical thinking and excellent execution capability.
- Deep product knowledge and ability to engage in engineering-led discussions.

- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Strong persuasion and negotiation ability.
- Product and technical knowledge including drawings, project management, sustainability.
