Senior Accounting Professional

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with expertise in GST, income tax, and TDS. They should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file GST returns (e.g., GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) within statutory deadlines.
  • Reconcile GST accounts with financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Stay updated with changes in GST regulations and assess their impact on company operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Ensure correct recording of accounting entries in the general ledger.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Prepare and file income tax returns for the company.
  • Manage TDS calculations, deductions, and filings.
  • Reconcile Form 26AS with books and follow up on any discrepancies.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Handle GST audits and assessments, responding to queries from tax authorities.
  • Regularly review accounting processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in accounting, with a focus on GST, income tax, and TDS.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally and strong computer literacy in Microsoft applications like Excel and Word.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
