Job Description: Chief of Staff
Role Overview:
The Chief of Staff will act as the central resource for the CEO's office, ensuring smooth coordination across departments and supporting strategic decision making. This role requires strong business acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and efficiency. The Chief of Staff will work closely with the CEO to manage executive priorities, streamline communication, and oversee the execution of key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between the CEO's office and internal/external stakeholders.
- Manage and prioritize the CEO's agenda, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Prepare and review reports, presentations, and documentation for executive decision-making.
- Conduct research, analysis, and provide actionable insights to support strategic initiatives.
- Monitor progress of critical projects and ensure timely updates to the CEO.
- Support board meetings and leadership reviews with relevant data, minutes, and follow-ups.
- Ensure effective communication flow within the leadership team and across departments.
- Track key performance metrics, financial indicators, and organizational targets.
- Anticipate and identify issues that require the CEO's attention and propose solutions.
- Drive special projects or initiatives as delegated by the CEO.
Requirements:
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Management/Operations/Finance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Engineering/Commerce or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in a strategic, planning, or executive support role (experience in consulting/operations/finance preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience in handling data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to draft clear reports and presentations.
- High level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with analytics/reporting tools is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with senior leadership.
Salary Range:
₹40,000 to ₹60,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant to CEO, or Strategy role.
- Exposure to marine, engineering, or operations based industries is a plus.
- Certification in project management, strategy, or leadership programs.
