Job Purpose:

Spearhead strategic decision-making and operational excellence in end-to-end credit underwriting and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive underwriting policies to ensure effective risk management and optimal returns.
  2. Collaborate with data science teams to analyze and validate underwriting models, identify areas for improvement, and optimize performance.
  3. Establish performance benchmarks, monitor portfolio profitability, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  4. Streamline credit policies and processes through automation, ensuring minimal manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness.
  5. Determine pricing strategies based on segmentation analysis and market trends.
  6. Standardize policies and procedures across the organization.
  7. Monitor portfolio performance, track funnel metrics, and manage risk thresholds.

Performance Monitoring:

  1. Analyze portfolio data, recommend policy changes to senior leaders, and drive business outcomes.
  2. Conduct regular credit reviews of existing portfolios, identify high-risk segments, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  3. Maintain delinquency rates within company standards by monitoring accounts and implementing corrective actions.
  4. Explore technological solutions to enhance process efficiency and portfolio management capabilities.
  5. Analyze various management information systems (MIS) to monitor portfolio performance and risk.

New Partner Integrations:

  1. Evaluate new channel partners' products and customer segments.
  2. Understand partner journeys, requisition necessary data, and create policies accordingly.
  3. Foster a data room environment for new customers.
  4. Formulate policies considering expected loss rates.
  5. Implement policies, conduct UAT and production tests, and resolve bottlenecks.

Relationship Management:

Manage relationships with partners, credit reporting agencies, and facilitate all credit operations.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in finance/statistics/management from a reputable institution.
  • Preferred qualifications: Btech with MBA.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years, with 3-4 years in risk management and policy creation.
  • Strong understanding of risk performance and communication skills.
  • Superior stakeholder management skills, working closely with business development, credit and policy, data science, legal, technology, operations, collections, customer success teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience working with large datasets using data processing tools and statistical methods.
  • Data-driven, analytical approach, and team player.

Main Skills:

  • Proficient in data analytics, model validation, policy formulation, portfolio management, stakeholder management, and project management.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in R/Python, SQL, advanced Excel, and other data analysis tools.
