Job Role:

The Assistant Director of Finance is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the Record to Report (RTR) function, ensuring accurate and timely financial results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the RTR function including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure accurate accounting, reconciliations, and reporting in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls frameworks.
  • Manage and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany accounting transactions.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support audits, compliance, and financial analysis requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and control frameworks.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance management for the RTR team members.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of R2R / RTR processes including GL, closing & reporting, reconciliations, and controls.
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP/IND AS).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Excel applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and drive performance.
