Job Overview

We're seeking an accomplished Deputy Manager-Reconciliation and Settlements to spearhead our financial operations team. As a seasoned leader, you'll drive the mission of empowering merchants to deliver seamless payment experiences to their customers.

The role involves overseeing reconciliation and settlements activities, ensuring an effective operating model is maintained. This includes managing payments and transactions within standardized turnaround times and complying with SLAs. Additionally, you'll identify opportunities for process improvements, develop plans to capitalize on them, and lead projects related to payments and reconciliation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise reconciliation and settlements-related activities to ensure an effective operating model is maintained.
  • Process all payments and transactions within pre-set standardized turnaround times and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are complied with.
  • Work cross-organizationally and functionally to identify opportunities in process, technical, and human interfaces and develop plans to capitalize on those opportunities.
  • Ensure operational risk is effectively managed and addressed in all aspects of the payments and settlement function.
  • Lead projects related to payments and reconciliation, ensuring timely completion, achievement of objectives, and cost efficiency.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant work experience in international payment gateways, fintech, acquiring settlement, and banks in merchant's settlement and reconciliation experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of banking experience and proven leadership with predominant experience of merchant's settlement and reconciliation of payment Gateway transactions.
  • Qualification: Minimum graduation from a recognized University, preferably with an accounting background (B.COM).
