The Amazon Customer Service organization is at the forefront of customer experience, seeking to delight customers in every interaction. It works to offer effective, empathetic and efficient issue resolution when customers need it.

We are looking for Software Development Engineers who are results-oriented, data-driven and innovative. They will work on cool technologies such as GraphQL, Java, Spring and AWS to build world-class customer experience solutions.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will collaborate with other experienced engineers to drive improvements to technology, design and develop new customer-facing products and interfaces. You'll build and track metrics to ensure high-quality results.

You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex systems, is customer-centric and feels strongly about building software that can operate at global scale.

We use Scrum, test-driven development and continuous deployment to deliver projects based on realistic timelines and resource constraints.

We seek experienced Software Engineers who are excited by this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build new software services and tools from scratch and improve existing systems
  • Create simple solutions for complex business problems
  • Design and implement scalable solutions and solve complex problems
  • Learn how to build robust solutions that operate at Amazon scale
  • Have the opportunity to design systems and take mission-critical decisions on production systems

About The Team:

The Contact Handling Experience team develops products to support CSAs in delivering customer-centric customer service. The team builds effortless solutions to handle and resolve customer contacts while providing insights to delight customers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
