Job Description
The Production Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day execution of print projects, ensuring timely deliverables through effective project management. This involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs and preferences, while adhering to established processes and policies to guarantee seamless task completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing client expectations by actively engaging with stakeholders and fostering open communication channels.
- Providing technical support and expertise to minimize costs and optimize print production.
- Partnering with artwork studios and printers to maintain quality control and consistency across all prints.
- Offering support during the design phase, reviewing artwork, and identifying potential risks to mitigate them effectively.
- Leading discussions with relevant stakeholders regarding color assessments and print work.
- Utilizing strong project management skills to track project timelines, meeting deadlines and ensuring timely delivery.
- Managing color standards storage and coordinating courier arrangements with logistics companies as needed.
- Initiating proactive measures to resolve challenges and taking ownership of problem-solving.
- Fostering positive relationships across various stakeholders and maintaining strong interpersonal connections.
- Rendering support onsite, offsite, or at the printer's site, as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive print production experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Client-facing experience and prior experience in project/account management.
- Familiarity with color management or separation tools.
- Strong knowledge of various print methods (e.g., offset, flexo, or gravure).
- Excellent analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills, from conceptualization to completion.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, colleagues, external clients, and vendors.
- Capacity to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to influence peers and senior management.
- Self-motivated with attention to details, deadlines, and reporting.
- Occasional travel may be required (local/international).
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications.
