Chief Financial Officer Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and strategic finance leader to join our organization. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for leading the finance, legal, compliance, and commercial functions across the group.

The successful candidate will drive financial planning, investor relations, risk management, and operational efficiency while promoting growth, profitability, and corporate governance.

This role requires a proven track record in IT/services companies, with expertise in driving both organic and inorganic growth initiatives, including capital markets and IPO preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Develop and implement financial plans that support business growth and expansion.
  • Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize performance.
  • Provide real-time financial insights to inform decision-making and drive business results.
  • Capital Structure & Treasury Management
  • Optimize capital allocation to support business growth initiatives.
  • Secure cost-efficient financing to minimize costs.
  • Maintain liquidity to ensure business continuity.
  • Risk Management, Governance & Compliance
  • Implement robust internal controls and risk frameworks to mitigate financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
  • Oversee legal and regulatory filings, contract management, and vendor relationships.
  • Operational Efficiency & Process Excellence
  • Standardize finance processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline financial reporting and analysis.
  • Partner with IT operations to optimize project profitability and cost management.
  • Revenue Growth, Cost & Margin Management
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue and improve profit margins.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Lead profitability reviews to identify new revenue streams and opportunities.
  • Investor Relations & IPO Readiness
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors and stakeholders.
  • Prepare the organization for IPO readiness, including governance, compliance, and reporting frameworks.
  • Engage with external advisors, bankers, and investors to secure capital market positioning.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
  • Act as the financial voice of the organization, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Partner with delivery, sales, and procurement teams to ensure aligned financial and operational strategies.
  • Mentor and lead high-performing finance, legal, and compliance teams.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification.
  • 12–15 years of progressive finance leadership experience in IT/services companies.
  • Proven expertise in investor relations, IPO readiness, and capital markets.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, legal compliance, risk management, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software applications.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, strategic vision, and communication skills.
