Financial Data Quality Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Financial Data Quality Specialist to join our team in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large datasets of raw financial transaction spend data, verifying and correcting it based on U.S. accounting rules, and primarily using tabular data in our proprietary software.

This role offers opportunities for exceptional employees to be promoted and manage a team of other Financial Data Quality Specialists. We expect hires to start remote work based in India with some overlap with U.S. work hours during training and onboarding.

  • Review and update raw financial transaction spend data and invoices
  • Verify and make corrections to financial transaction data following U.S. accounting rules
  • Deduplicate overlapping transactions
  • Adjust amortization dates of expenses
  • Inferring amortization dates of expenses if they are not clear
  • Verify and tag the correct vendor for each transaction

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have 0 to 3 years of experience as a data or quality assurance analyst, at least 1 year of full-time work experience as an A/P bookkeeper, junior accountant, Accounts Payables (A/P) clerk, or in a similar position using U.S. accounting practices. Additionally, you should have experience working with Netsuite, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero (or similar ERP software).
