Job Description

Risk management professionals play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and profitability of financial institutions. At our organization, we are seeking a skilled risk manager to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment and Strategy: Develop, implement, and review risk assessment models and associated frameworks to mitigate risks in unsecured lending contexts.
  • Strategic Implementation: Implement and monitor risk strategies across the lending life cycle, including acquisition, underwriting, cross-selling, and collections.
  • Portfolio Review: Regularly review portfolios to identify early warning signals and analyze trends to track portfolio quality based on accepted risk parameters.
  • Policy Management: Ensure that risk policies are timely reviewed and reflect the dynamic external environment and internal risk appetite.
  • Industry Analysis: Analyze industry data, prepare management information systems (MIS)/dashboards, and apprise senior management on changing market conditions.
  • Process Review: Regularly review processes for adherence to risk policies and check if controls are effectively in place and working.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with various internal teams to strengthen the risk framework.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a Tier 1 college.
  • 3-6 years of experience in managing risk in a non-banking financial company (NBFC)/fintech/lending institution.
  • Mandatory experience in Python and SQL programming languages.
  • Excellent understanding of data analysis and ability to bring insights.
  • Solid knowledge of statistical models.
  • Experience in microfinance/MSME lending is an added advantage.
