Real Estate Financial Specialist

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on commercial real estate. They should be proficient in financial software systems and have experience with MRI.
- Accounting Managers are responsible for a portfolio of commercial properties, owned by various funds and joint ventures, and meeting lender, tax, and investor requirements.
- They work closely with other members of the Accounting team, as well as with Acquisitions, Asset Management, Tax, and Finance teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing 3rd party property accounting for consistency, accuracy, and proper accounting.
- Managing cash flow, including weekly check fundings and rent rolls.
- Preparing financial reports, annual budgets, and quarterly budget re-projections.

- Review 3rd party property accounting
- Manage loan compliance
- Prepare unaudited financial reports
- Provide comprehensive audit support
- Prepare audited financial statements
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in property accounting
- Proficient in financial software systems
- Experience with MRI
- Understanding of fair value GAAP, tax accounting, and IFRS
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
