Job Title: Director of Strategic Partnerships

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our strategic partnerships in higher education. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including university leaders, government officials, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thought Leadership/Policy Advocacy work:
    • Work closely with the Higher Education Committee leadership and members to identify key areas for thought leadership papers, reports, and articles.
    • Interface regularly with regulatory bodies and proactively engage in developing FICCI reports and recommendations on government notifications and policy documents.
    • Develop strategic partnerships with university leaders, multilateral organizations, and other important stakeholders in higher education.
  • FICCI Higher Education Committee & Taskforces:
    • Conduct periodic committee meetings, develop agendas, prepare minutes, and facilitate decision-making processes.
    • Identify and create small groups of experts to address specific sectoral issues.
    • Work with task forces to develop papers and execute bespoke projects, including report writing, project implementation, surveys, research, events, webinars, masterclasses, program development, and membership engagement.
  • Higher Education Summit (HES):
    • Organize and manage the annual global FICCI Higher Education Summit, working closely with committee leadership to design the conference program and identify national and international partners.
    • Manage masterclasses, workshops, and closed-door interactions between industry and academic leaders, as well as generate revenue through sponsorship and delegate participation.
    • Coordinate with speakers, delegates, and social media branding to ensure effective execution.
  • Projects:
    • Identify and execute projects in industry-academia engagement, reconnecting with NKFH partners and initiating activities based on the NKFH framework.
    • Organize capacity building programs for faculty and higher education leadership, engaging with World Bank and other global agencies to explore joint projects.
  • Webinars/Workshops/Masterclasses/Delegations:
    • Ideate and execute masterclasses, workshops, and webinars on relevant topics, engaging committee leadership and senior government functionaries.
    • Develop partnerships with external partners to generate revenue for the organization.
  • Reports/Recommendations:
    • Keep a close eye on recent government announcements and develop FICCI inputs and recommendations for their consideration.
    • Work with the Knowledge Partner to provide information through secondary research for the annual FICCI Knowledge report.
    • Collaborate with key committee members and task forces to put together position papers and reports on identified areas.
  • Knowledge Sharing:
    • Promote knowledge sharing among stakeholders, including faculty, industry, students, MSMEs, and others, through a bi-monthly sectoral newsletter.
    • Collate relevant news items and articles for every edition, striving to generate revenue by identifying potential partners for advertisements.
