Operations Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production KPIs (AU, UPDT & AML)
• Implement EHS and Quality standard expectations
• Manage resources efficiently and minimize downtime
• Lead Line Teams to solve quality problems
• Maintain crewing norms, shift rotation, and leave planning
• Communicate, coach, and provide feedback
• Participate in 5S, AM, PM, and Small Group meetings
• Manage equipment repair and maintenance
• Train technicians and team members

• Material Management: Manage direct materials from acquisition to finished goods
• Supplier Engagement: Involve suppliers in the innovation cycle

Production Management

• Process Conversion: Convert raw materials to finished goods
• Quality Manufacturing: Develop and execute strategies for consistent manufacturing and quality
• Team Development: Develop a team-based organization to drive business performance
• Workforce Motivation: Motivate the workforce to achieve business objectives
• Technical Processes: Understand technical processes in the factory
• Equipment Capabilities: Identify and communicate equipment capabilities and constraints
• Raw Materials Handling: Know handling and storage requirements of raw materials, finished goods, and waste streams
• Production Schedules: Ensure equipment and processes meet production schedules, customer demands, and quality targets
• Quality and EHS Standards: Communicate the need for and impact of quality and EHS standards while ensuring implementation
• Safety Awareness: Promote safety awareness and model safe behavior
• Production Planning: Use SAP data to set production plans and schedule requirements
• Operating Issues: Execute strategies dealing with labor relations

Continuous Improvement

• CI Tools: Use continuous improvement tools to drive growth, profitability, and people development
• KPI Improvements: Integrate CI tools such as FP&R Stds and factory modeling tools to improve KPIs and reduce costs
• Data Analysis: Exploit data and information to identify and measure potential improvements
• Asset Effectiveness: Apply the Asset Effectiveness Model to identify performance improvement opportunities
• Modeling and Statistics: Use modeling and statistical tools to target savings and improvement opportunities
• Supply Chain Interrelationships: Understand linkages among supply/demand KPIs and the impact of CI tools
• Continuous Improvement Reviews: Conduct CIRs to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement
• Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate sharing of ideas, knowledge, and best practices to improve processes and solve problems
• Best Practices Standardization: Work to standardize best practices
• CI Process Alignment: Ensure CI processes support quality and safety goals

Engineering and Capital Project Management

• Project Management: Manage factory and office construction, equipment installation, and relocation projects
• Plant Layouts: Support optimal plant layouts and material flows to engineering functions
• Project Delivery: Deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting agreed-upon criteria
• Project Tracking: Use a systematic approach to track, communicate, and manage project costs and schedules
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage stakeholders in design decisions to ensure projects satisfy quality, cost, service, and safety criteria
• Process Control: Understand basic concepts of process control and direct experts in system implementation

EHS and Quality

• Regulation Interpretation: Develop, interpret, and apply regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure operations and product integrity
• EHS and Quality Technical Requirements: Understand technical requirements of EHS and Quality in factories
• Strategic Implementation: Develop and drive strategies to ensure conformance to quality and EHS requirements
• Compliance: Understand and interpret governmental policies and regulations to ensure CP compliance
• Behavioral Change: Provide support for improving safety, environmental, and quality conscious behavior in factories
• Leadership by Example: Lead by example and demand safe behaviors and awareness, sound environmental practices, and commitment to quality
• Accountability: Understand own role and responsibility as well as that of others in implementing EHS and Quality standards and guidelines
• Communication: Communicate the need for and impact of quality and EHS standards
• Implementation Strategies: Establish effective strategies for implementation of EHS and Quality standards and regulatory conformance
• Performance Recognition: Recognize and acknowledge EHS and Quality performance in sites and individuals
• Incident Mitigation: Take corrective actions in a timely manner to mitigate potential quality or EHS incidents
• Facility Safety and GMP: Abide by facility safety and GMP requirements and set an example
• Self-Assessment: Proactively self-assess against corporate EHS and Quality standards and governmental regulations
• Resource Allocation: Provide appropriate resources to achieve expected levels of EHS and Quality performance

Supply Chain Systems & Analysis

• Analytical Tools: Leverage analytical tools and business data to improve total Supply Chain performance
• Supply Chain System Understanding: See the Supply Chain as a total system
• Interrelationship Understanding: Understand interrelationships of five Supply Chain processes: plan, source, make, deliver, and product commercialization
• Balance: Apply data and information to balance various KPIs
• Supply Chain Data Analysis: Use Supply Chain data and analytical tools effectively including SAP, Business Warehouse, MRS/PGSS, and OPERA Data
• Optimization: Exploit modeling tools and techniques to optimize plant flow, sourcing, and distribution systems
• Return on Capital: Maximize return on capital, total delivered cost, cash generation, and customer service
• Problem Anticipation: Anticipate operational, technical, business, and workforce problems and take action
• Integrity: Maintain integrity of business and operational data processes to deliver accurate assessments of operations

Education:  B.E./B.Tech./Diploma (EC/EI/Mechatronics) or any stream relevant with 3 years of proven experience.

Experience:  Working experience in production function of large FMCG/Manufacturing organization and experience of handling large teams in rotational shifts.
