Job Summary:

The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong technical expertise and experience in system testbed design, end-to-end testing, and performance evaluation. They will be able to work closely with engineering teams to drive resolution of customer issues and collaborate on the development of technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build comprehensive system testbeds using a variety of networking devices and servers to validate 802.11 Wireless and proprietary feature functionality through end-to-end testing of client to cloud architecture.
  • Recreate complex customer issues in a lab environment and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve these issues effectively.
  • Perform thorough performance testing using iPerf to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Work closely with the CS team to review customer report defects and enhance test coverage.
  • Create bugs in Jira and track them with the engineering team.
  • Escalate critical issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop detailed technical documentation for the CS and QA teams in Confluence.
  • Train and guide junior engineers on emerging wireless technologies.
Requirements:
  • A senior engineer with 8+ years of experience in system testing and validation.
  • BE/ME/MS degree in EE, CS, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol standards.
  • Hands-on experience in validating enterprise-grade wireless access points.
  • Familiarity with basic concepts of routing and switching (VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, Trunk/Native).
  • Experience in validating IEEE 802.1x features using Freeradius or a standard RADIUS server.
  • In-depth knowledge of various 802.11 protocols (r, k, v).
  • Ability to troubleshoot based on wireless packet captures.
  • Passion for solving customer issues and advocating for their success in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately assess technical problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CWNA/CWSP/CWAP certification.
  • Scripting experience in Python.
  • Hands-on experience with ISE/ClearPass.
  • Basic knowledge of L2TPv3/IPsec.
