Position Summary

As a key member of the Fellowship Selection Team at Teach For India, you will play a critical role in shaping the vision and strategy of our selection process. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and accurate implementation of our selection model during the Selection cycle. You will work closely with Reviewers and Selectors to provide them with an experience that is informative, inspiring, and aspirational, making them brand ambassadors for Teach For India and the Selection Team. To achieve this, you will design and develop inspirational and informative content for Reviewer/Selector-centric materials that effectively communicate the core messages of the movement and source inspirational spaces for Assessment Centers. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing critical operations for the Reviewer and Selector program, including sourcing Reviewers and Selectors, providing ongoing support and resources, and monitoring their output to ensure they can perform their tasks accurately and efficiently. You will also lead a team of 30-40 Staff, Fellows, and Alumni who support our work part-time, training and supporting them, and monitoring their output to ensure they meet our expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing applications and interviewing applicants, and supporting others to do the same accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborating with the training vertical to create inspiring content that informs, invests, and inspires Reviewers and Selectors to implement the Selection model.
  • Running and managing communication systems and logistical operations to ensure Reviewers and Selectors are equipped to process over 17,000 applications efficiently and accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Building relationships with and facilitating ongoing training to manage Staff, Fellows, and Alumni involved in the selection process to ensure efficient and accurate implementation of our model.
  • Managing complex projects with many moving parts and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality outcomes in a tight timeframe.
  • Monitoring and tracking progress to goals through data analysis, designing and implementing strategic solutions to in-the-moment challenges, and increasing long-term process efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities

You will be expected to possess a strong understanding of the Teach For India movement and its core messages, as well as excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal. You will also need to be highly organized, with the ability to set clear plans and adapt them when required to ensure you meet ambitious project goals within clear timeframes. A graduate with 2-3 years of work experience is required, with a preference for experience in communications design, data management, branding, and solution-oriented approaches. You will be expected to think creatively, have a strong attention to detail, and be able to influence and persuade others to achieve our goals.
