- Conduct in-depth analysis of fatigue and damage tolerance in aircraft components.
- Develop theoretical knowledge in crack propagation analysis and apply it to real-world scenarios.
- Utilize expertise in aircraft loads and spectrum generation to calculate stresses and fatigue life.
- Apply Miner's rule, stress files, and FESPS databases to determine fatigue life and crack propagation.
- Calculate stress concentration (Kt) values using Peterson's or DFEM or ISAMI modules.
- Analyze metallic and composite structures, including plain strength checks, buckling, and bolted joint analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with static and fatigue design values, including Ftu, Fty, Fcy, AFI parameters, and S-N curve parameters.
- Perform static and fatigue calculations using hand calculations, DFEM, ISAMI, and GFEM load redistribution.
- Read and interpret drawings to identify fastener diameter, fit, spec, and type for fatigue calculations.
- Formulate free body diagrams and identify load paths of structures.
- Utilize ISAMI modules for various analyses, including metallic and composite filled holes, lug analysis, and notch sensitivity.
- Prepare and validate documents, such as PDR/CDR/Certification reports, concessions, and repairs.
This role requires a strong understanding of compliance risks and a commitment to integrity, as the foundation for the company's success, reputation, and sustainable growth.
