Job Opportunity:

This role involves managing current partnerships and acquiring new partners to enhance market penetration in designated regions, leading to increased sales revenue aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with existing partners to reinforce business relationships, while identifying opportunities for growth through strategic partner selection and retention.
  • Business Analysis and Planning: Perform monthly analysis of stock forecasts from existing partners, ensuring accurate forecasting for inventory management. Negotiate prices with partners for tender orders and Rx orders to ensure profitability for the company.
  • Market Development: Explore new business opportunities with local health authorities to secure special approvals and emergency supply authorizations.
  • Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with the Supply Chain Management team to deliver orders on time, ensuring seamless supply chain operations.
  • Payment Follow-up: Conduct regular follow-ups with partners to ensure timely receipt of payments.

Marketing Support:

Provide marketing support to strengthen Cipla's brand image in targeted countries by coordinating marketing plans with partners, designing promotional materials, and facilitating video conferences.

Product Expansion:

Identify new products within the existing portfolio to drive expansion and growth in sales across assigned countries. Prepare comprehensive business cases for new product feasibility and submit them for approval. Collaborate with internal teams to process dossiers and launch new products effectively.

Order Execution and Monitoring:

Ensure smooth order execution by resolving bottlenecks, validating documentation, releasing orders for fulfillment, and managing batch-size issues. Gather relevant data for a 12-month rolling supply forecast to maintain high accuracy and optimize supply chain control.

Cost Optimization:

Optimize costs on every order to achieve profitability targets by submitting annual budget reports, conducting cost sheet audits, and engaging in business discussions with partners.

Qualifications:

  • Education: MBA from a top-tier business school, preferably in International Business
  • Experience: 4-7 years of experience in business development within a pharmaceutical company, handling complex regions, with 1-2 years of on-field exposure
  • Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, well-acquainted with Commercial Unit's backend processes and systems
