Project Finance Manager Role

The Senior Project Finance Manager will lead the development of comprehensive financing strategies for solar projects, while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders including banks and financial institutions.

  • Design and execute project finance plans for solar projects across various scales.
  • Create detailed financial models incorporating IRR, DSCR, payback period, and sensitivity analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinate debt raising activities from DPR preparation and loan application submission to negotiation and disbursement.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with banks, NBFCs, investors, and credit rating agencies to secure project financing.
  • Review and negotiate term sheets, loan agreements, and financial covenants to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for financial due diligence and risk assessment to minimize potential liabilities.
  • Monitor cash flow, loan compliance, and repayment schedules for ongoing projects to ensure timely closure.
  • Identify and implement innovative financing structures such as leasing, hybrid, or green bonds to optimize project returns.

Requirements

  • Possession of an MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA qualification or equivalent with a strong background in finance.
  • A minimum of 8–12 years of experience in project finance, preferably in renewable energy / power / infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record in debt raising, project financing, and financial closures.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, credit appraisal, and risk analysis to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills to foster strong partnerships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
