This role plays a key part in overseeing IT infrastructure strategy, hardware deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support.

• Main Responsibilities:
• Oversee IT Infrastructure Strategy: Authorize and oversee all hardware and software deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support based on Innovation and IT infrastructure strategy.
• Configuration and Monitoring Standards: Develop configuration and monitoring standards for network performance and implement and monitor controls to ensure the standards are maintained.
• Business Needs Evaluation: Evaluate business needs, objectives, and goals, researching Innovation and IT applications necessary to meet the needs of the IE Network.
• Technical Solutions Recommendation: Analyze complex Innovation and IT business needs presented by users and customers and recommend technical solutions.
• Project Planning: Develop plans for the implementation of new projects, coordinating process deliverables with project leaders and stakeholders.
• Policy Development: Develop or assist in developing Innovation and IT policies and procedures, as appropriate, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
• Compliance and Implementation: Responsible for implementing, complying with, and maintaining Innovation and IT policies and procedures.
• Hardware and OS Design: Design, configure and optimize hardware, operating systems, network, storage, and backup devices for reliability, availability, and performance in a physical or virtual environment.
• Active Directory and Citrix Management: Design, configure and manage Active Directory and Citrix.
• Management Tools Configuration: Configure and supervise the implementation of management tools including monitoring, security, backup tools.
• Network Solutions: Configure and supervise the implementation of network solutions, including firewall configuration, routing, IPsec tunnels, remote access VPN access, etc.
• Issue Diagnosis and Resolution: Diagnose and resolve issues related to application delivery via Citrix and AWS.
• Staff Coaching and Direction: Coach and direct Innovation and IT staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with company needs, objectives, and approved budget.
• Staff Management: Manage Innovation and IT staff including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
• Trend Awareness and Regulatory Compliance: Maintain awareness of changing Innovation and IT trends, best practices, and regulations that might impact operational efficiency and business continuity and takes corrective action as required.
• Vendor Contracting and Performance Monitoring: Participate in all hardware and software evaluations along with vendor contracts.
• Purchasing Recommendations: Makes purchasing recommendations and monitors contracted service(s) performance.
• Budget Development and Review: Develops business case justifications and cost and benefit analysis for Innovation and IT budgeting.
• Annual Budget Development: Develop an Innovation and IT annual budget, justifying when needed. Reviews and compare actual results to planned budgetary performance.
• Technology Solutions and Implementations: Directs management on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of Innovation and IT's new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts.
• Secure Processes: Ensures that network staff/resources utilize technology to provide secure processes to access information.
• End-user Services: Overseas end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
• Liaison Duties: Performs liaison duties between network users, operations in the areas of systems design, modifications, or troubleshooting.
• Innovation and IT Vision: Possesses and communicates a clear vision for Innovation and IT with all IE stakeholders.
• Incident Ticket Resolution: Leads and coordinate work related to incident tickets and requests for their resolution within agreed SLAs.
• Training and Calendar Management: Train first level support personnel to close any open incidents correctly and promptly. Manage the calendar related to recurrent Innovation and IT activities.
• Problem Resolution: Work with other Innovation and IT teams and third-party support vendors for resolution of problems.
• Study Archival: Manage the execution of Innovation and IT study archival requests, exports, and other activities.
• Team Compliance: Ensure that the team performs their work in compliance with policies and SOPs.
• Escalation Support: Provide second level escalation and after-hours support.
