Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Professional

The role of an accounts payable and accounts receivable professional is multifaceted and requires a combination of financial management, administrative skills, and attention to detail. This position involves managing the flow of money in and out of the organization by processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Processing: Verify and process vendor invoices in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Expense Analysis: Analyze and monitor accounts payable transactions to identify areas for cost savings and optimize cash flow.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular financial reports to stakeholders, including expense summaries and aging reports.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors, addressing any payment issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by maintaining and updating the accounts payable ledger.
  • Audit Support: Provide documentation and explanations to support internal and external audits.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Compliance: Adhere to financial regulations and standards, including tax compliance for payable transactions.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.

Requirements
  • Experience with accounting software and spreadsheets (QuickBooks, Excel)
  • Knowledge of Indian taxes (HST, GST, TDS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
