Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team as a Social Services Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and managing projects, ensuring timely rollout and implementation, tracking quality delivery, and fostering community involvement.
  • The role involves collaborating with internal teams, program leads, and coordinators to secure necessary support and encourage innovative approaches in project activities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Execution and Management (70%):
    1. Timely rollout and implementation of projects aligned with project plans.
    2. Track and ensure quality delivery of detailed implementation plans (DIPs).
    3. Collaborate with program lead and coordinator and internal teams to secure necessary support for project execution.
    4. Encourage and incorporate innovative approaches in project activities.
    5. Address operational challenges promptly in coordination with the program coordinator and Program Lead.
    6. Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and ensure goals are met.
    7. Foster community involvement and ownership of project activities for long-term sustainability.
    8. Align project activities with community aspirations and leverage their strengths to enhance ownership.
    9. Maintain transparency and accountability in all project activities to benefit the target population.
  2. Develop Partnerships and Advocacy (30%):
    1. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at community, ward, and district levels across private, government, academic, and NGO sectors.
    2. Increase project and organizational visibility among government and other stakeholders.
    3. Identify opportunities to align stakeholder activities with project goals.
    4. Represent the project and organization at meetings, committees, and advocacy forums.
    5. Participate in advocacy efforts at district and state levels to drive impactful change.
    6. Collaborate with the technical team to design effective advocacy strategies and activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Graduate in Social Work/ Rural Development/ Rural Management/ Social Sciences/Any degree with NGO experience.
  • Experience:
  • 1+ years' experience in program implementation in the social sector.
  • Skills:
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluency in English, Tamil, and Hindi languages.
