We are seeking an experienced Academic Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in academic writing, research standards, and subject-specific knowledge.

Job Description

The Academic Editor will be responsible for reviewing and editing academic documents, including research papers, theses, dissertations, journal articles, and grant proposals.

The editor must ensure correctness of grammar, punctuation, and syntax while maintaining author's original meaning and tone.

They will also verify clarity, logical flow, and coherence in arguments and presentation.

In addition, they will adhere to specific style guides (APA, MLA, Chicago, IEEE, etc.) as required by manuscript.

The Academic Editor will provide constructive feedback to authors to improve overall quality of work.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or specific academic discipline (e.g., Life Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, etc.).
  • Proven experience in academic editing or scholarly publishing.
  • Excellent command of English language and familiarity with academic writing conventions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with plagiarism standards and academic integrity policies.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and editing tools (e.g., Track Changes, Grammarly, EndNote).
