Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Sports Content Editor to join our team of professionals.

Description:

The successful candidate will have a strong command of the English language, an understanding of American culture, and a passion for sports and storytelling.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Editing and publishing articles daily, maintaining high quality standards.
  2. Fact-checking, researching, and refining content to deliver value to readers.
  3. Collaborating with writers, editors, and content managers in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
  4. Mentoring junior writers to help them grow and evolve as contributors.
  5. Staying on top of breaking news to ensure timely coverage and updates.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in English, Media/ Journalism, or similar discipline.
  • 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or similar roles.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and guide a team of talented writers.
  • A basic understanding of SEO principles, including crafting engaging headings and subheadings.
