About This Role

As a Sports Content Editor, you will be responsible for editing and publishing high-quality sports articles that meet the needs of our audience.

This role requires strong editorial skills, including fact-checking, research, and attention to detail. You will work closely with a team of writers and editors to refine and elevate the content we publish.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, excellent writing and communication skills, and experience in content editing or a related field.

Responsibilities
  • Edit and publish 18-20 articles per day
  • Fact-check and research articles to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Work with a team of writers and editors to refine and elevate content
  • Analyze article performance metrics and use insights to improve content quality
  • Craft engaging headings and subheadings using SEO best practices
  • Mentor and guide writers to help them grow and evolve as contributors
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Media/Journalism, or similar discipline
  • 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or a related role
  • Strong command of the English language and understanding of American culture
  • Leadership skills to inspire and mentor a team of writers
  • Passion for sports and ability to cover breaking news, live events, and in-depth analyses
